The pair then takes an aside to talking about the possibility of women in baseball and Jennie Finch’s softball dominance. Great work, guys.
You asked how much it normally cost to buy a beer at the Stadium back then. If I recall correctly, it was about 75 cents for a cup of beer back then. Maybe a dollar.

Federal minimum wage in 1974 was $1.90-2.00/hour (bumped up mid-year?). Based on the current federal minimum wage ($7.25/hr), todays equivalency would be “.36 Cent Beer Night”.

    Make it happen, Dolans. 😉

I have a lot more faith in Carlos than you guys, I think he can be at minimum a great 2 inning set-up man, and if you have a solid 1-4, he can be an acceptable #5 at minimum with his (inconsistent) stuff, where he will alternate between brilliant and not-so-brilliant. I would be very surprised if he does not return, arbitration numbers for first year eligible are really low. And it is hard to discount the peripherals and his nice stretch before the TJ surgery.
