Well, the afternoon game was pretty “mehhh” for Indians fans. Here’s hoping they can turn it around in tonight’s game, before they head back to Cleveland for the home opener Friday. (If you’re going, start collecting water-proof items now. I’ve been trying to determine which pair of gloves are most water-proof).
Both the Indians and A’s will be utilizing the 26th man on the rosters for game 2. For the Indians, they will add C.C. Lee to the bullpen (which is good, since they went to the bullpen pretty darn early in game 1). The A’s added their game 2 starter, Josh Lindblom.
Here are the lineups:
Indians:
Nyjer Morgan, CF
Nick Swisher, 1B
Jason Kipnis, DH
Carlos Santana, C
Michael Brantley, LF
Asdrubal Cabrera, SS
David Murphy, RF
Mike Aviles, 2B
Lonnie Chisenhall, 3B
Zach McAllister, P
Athletics:
Sam Fuld, CF
Josh Donaldson, 3B
Jed Lowrie, SS
Brandon Moss, DH
Yoenis Cespedes, LF
John Jaso, C
Josh Reddick, RF
Nick Punto, 2B
Dario Barton, 1B
Josh Lindblom, P
*GRUMBLE…MUMBLE…GRUMBLE*
Can we call a do-over on releasing Aaron Harang?
Geez, this game is ugly. Just sloppy all around. Poor defensive play, unearned runs, missed offensive opportunities. Walks, wild pitches, Santana’s catching…..oy. The weird thing is it’s still within the Indians’ grasp (at least for the time being).
9th Inning Magic?
MICHAEL BRANTLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jim Johnson about to increase the unemployment count….go tribe!
Brantley; First the bat, then the glove!
…BALLGAME.
Sure, I’m concerned about Kluber and McAllister, but we just took 2 of 3 games from a playoff-caliber team on the road. On late-inning comebacks, no less. I’ll take it.
i’m giving them slack based on opening week yips…don’t forget where these guys were last season at the same time. give them a week
i’ll second that motion shaun, long season ahead
f yea!!!!!!!!!!!!
playoffs baby!!!
