So it all comes down to tonight – the Indians lose, their season ends.  The Indians win, they hop aboard a plane to Boston to take on the Red Sox in the ALDS.  Let’s hope they can log a few more frequent flyer miles before heading home for the winter!  The matchup tonight is the young rookie Danny Salazar vs. one of Tampa Bay’s many fine young pitchers, Alex Cobb.  The Indians completed the season series against the Rays early this season, so they never got a chance to face Danny Salazar.  As Matt mentioned yesterday, the Indians did see Cobb earlier this year and it did not go well for them – Cobb allowed 0 ER on just 4 hits over 7.1 innings pitched in his first start of the season, back on April 6.  (Trevor Bauer was the losing pitcher for the Indians in that game).

Danny Salazar needs to have a strong outing, because I’m guessing Cobb will be very stingy with runs.  Hopefully the Tribe will be able to feed off the energy of a full house, much like the Pirates did last night in Pittsburgh.
