Corey Kluber takes on Erik Bedard in the final game of this four-game series against the Astros. The Indians saw Bedard in their 5-4 victory over the Astros on April 21, where he gave up 2 ER on 6 hits over 4 innings pitched. There appear to be only a handful of starts in which Bedard lasted more than five innings this season, so the Indians should probably work on driving up his pitch count.
Kluber faced the Astros back on April 20 in the 19-6 game. He came in after Kazmir left early, and actually got the win for the Tribe after he pitched for 4 innings, allowing 0 ER and just 2 hits.

Thought today would have been perfect to give Kipnis the day off. Lefty up and off day tomorrow. Whether its fatigue or a slump, he’s not putting too many great at bats together.
Shows you what I know, Kipnis with 3 hits already. That’s why Tito manages baseball and I’m a carpenter.
Sixth four-game sweep by the Tribe, most by a team since the ’61 Yankees… Indians now 16 games above .500 mark!
