Ok Tribe !!! Let’s keep this hitting going this week. Good Luck. Go Tribe !!!

Still think it will take 90 wins to get in.

after putting up so many runs last night, it’s almost a guarantee we’ll hit like 1-13 with RISP and lose 4-2 today. that’s indians baseball, talking triiiiiiiiiibe!

is it just me, or does it seem like the indians are experts at getting their first two men on in an inning and then getting nothing out of it? it’s impressively difficult to do.

Completely unrelated to today’s game, but… I still don’t get the title of this blog. I get that they’re talking about Napoleon “Nap” Lajoie, and that spelling it as “Lajaway” is an attempt to help us figure out how to pronounce “Lajoie”. However, I have no idea how to pronounce Lajaway. First of all, which syllable is accented? Secondly, “Lajaway” has three vowels, all As, and As can be hard or soft. Which ones are they?

… So I checked out the actual pronunciation on his Wikipedia page. Lajoie is pronounced “/ˈlæʒəweɪ/”. So, I don’t think I’d spell it out as “Lajaway.” To clarify, it should be something like “LAH-juh-way”.

Or, to make it completely clear, the blog should just be called “It’s Pronounced /ˈlæʒəweɪ/.”

I am so sick of this “pull Salazar at 75 pitches” crap. I get that they are trying to protect him, but there is no evidence whatsoever that 75 pitches will do that vs say 90-100. It seems like such a waste to pull him in the 4th every start and how do we expect him to build arm strength for next year when we will need him all season (or are they going to limit him to exactly 100 pitches all next year too).

News to Dolan, if Salazar is a true ace you will never re-sign him anyways, so ride him while you can.

    So tired of Perez…

Fortunately, no one pulled Perez. But, boy, does he make me nervous.

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one who cringed when he went in. I think that is our number one upgrade need.
