Thanks for pointing that out Mary Jo – I saw a “Williams” walking along the dugout and wondered if it was Matt Williams (it looked an awful lot like him). Then I forgot to look it up and see if he was on the coaching staff. I’ll add him to the list!

And then there is Matt Williams. He’s the D-Back’s 3rd base coach. He played only one year for the Tribe (1997) and was really good at 3rd base. But if I remember correctly he missed family out west and the Tribe traded him to AZ so he could be close to them. Because of Shapiro’s action towards Matt I’ve always been a tiny bit forgiving when he botches a trade!

Very good point – perhaps Charlie Nagy is worth a mention too, since he’s the pitching coach in Arizona.
