Good to know that all of the money that insurance companies spend on advertising does not really make their product name stick with us. The cheesehead yelling “Rogers” “discount double check” commercial actually belongs to State Farm and not Allstate. I think advertisers would do better with 5-10 second commercials that leave the name and jingle in your head like Klondike Bars “5 seconds to glory” (e.g. Mark listening to his wife – I love that one).

Choo started hitting in the leadoff position on May 14. Before then his BA was .235. Since then, through the game of July 3, he has gotten 60 hits in 181 AB, for a BA of .331.

Did you guys notice that Rogers writes something in the dirt on the pitcher’s mound with his finger when he gets out there? MUST KNOW WHAT IT SAYS!

Would have loved to see Rogers do the “discount double check” move after striking out Trout on that pitch in the dirt, but Flo and the other folks at Progressive probably wouldn’t be happy about it.

I was happy to see our guys retake the lead after the misplays in the top of the 5th. What I wasn’t happy to see was the umps (WHAT were they thinking?) calling for the tarp after the pitcher had one out in each inning. Like they couldn’t know a few minutes sooner and stop play between inning halves? So very impressed by both Vinnie and Rogers being able to resume play after sitting so long! (Am I the only person who thinks of the Allstate commercials when Esmil comes in to pitch? I see a chubby guy wearing a cheesehead and yelling “Rogers”…..lol!)
