Here’s a crazy idea…

2007… we brought back Lofton
2011… we brought back Thome
2012… Bring Back Manny !

He’s a right handed bat, yes maybe lacking on the power he used to have, but still hits in the .300 range. It would give him a chance for redemption with the fans, bring a little nostalgia, and help out with our weakness against Left handed pitchers. Make him a DH, at least until Pronk gets back, and would allow a good Right handed bat off the bench.
He can be had for cheap, and hes a quantity that we know.

I definitely agree that Santana should be dropped down…I thought they should’ve done that for a while last year as well. The paranoid/superstitious part of my brain is afraid to move Brantley, but it’s a good idea if he continues to hit well.

Last night, one of the TV announcers suggested dropping Santana down from the 4th spot in the line-up, while he struggles, and bringing Brantley up in the rotation. I like that idea, except if the move put more pressure back on Brantley (he seemed to really start hitting once the pressure of lead-off was off of him).
