To be completely honest, Pedroia does not seem to have done enough to warrant All-Star status this season, but may be the pick over Kipnis due to his track record. I know that’s not how the reserves are supposed to be selected, but that sort of thing does happen quite often I’m afraid.

It will be interesting to see if Asdrubal and Kipnis can make it. Personally I hope to see both make it and play together up the middle for an inning during the ASG. Definitely a proud moment in Indians history if it happens!

I hope the coaches don’t select on popularity as well. This kid has played better than Pedroia and Kinsler easily and you could make an argument that he is better than Cano too. I would be very disappointed if he is not selected ahead of Pedroia
