The Indians are supposed to play some non-1:05 games this year on Sundays…I think several at 3:05. I guess they said just because there are so many 1:05 Sunday games across baseball, they wanted to try something different.

AFAIK, Sunday games for all teams are generally 1:05; there may be a couple 3 or 4:00 games, but the only night game allowed is ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. If the Indians got scheduled for that this year or last year, they’d be obligated to reschedule it for a night game.

Steve – The Indians randomly sent me some free ticket vouchers late last season, and I couldn’t give them away either! I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but this local comedian made a video about Browns tickets. Drew – Yeah, I think 4 or 5 p.m. would be a better start time. I know that some of these noon games they’re able to bring large groups of school kids, but there definitely weren’t any there today. I know that some of the noon games it was almost all school kids.

Joey – I agree that the weather is crappy, but attendance would probably be just as bad on a weekday with people at work and all. That’s why a 4 p.m. compromise would be good. I am really happy that they put all of the Saturday April games at 1:05…much, much better!

all games in april at progressive field should be day games…at least the sun keeps u warm…u would have to pay me to sit at a night game in april.

With attendances that low, they can’t even come close to breaking even. I know the benefit is the to the players in the get-away day, but have they considered at 5:00pm start time? At least folks could head there after work.

I went to a makeup game last year late in the season. I think it was a 12:00 game against the white sox and there were literally about 3,000 people there I bet. I got a lot of 10 tickets off stubhub for $5, yes that’s not a typo. I thought “well I’ll give away the other 8 before the game”. After half an hour I still had two tickets left so I just gave up. Oh to be a Tribe fan these days. Oh well, I wouldn’t trade attending a game with my daughters for the world. They always have a blast.
