Yeah, so the Cleveland Browns won a preseason game last night. Big deal. They won four of them last season, and how did that work out for them?

Here at IPL, it’s still strictly baseball season, and we’re hoping it’ll stay that way until deep into the month of October. Tonight your beloved Cleveland Indians, winners of ten of their last fourteen games, are the guests at the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The Sox haven’t been doing very well this season. At 39 games under .500, they are on pace to lose 103 games. One of the few bright spots for the Sox has been the pitching of tonight’s starter, the 25-year-old lefty Carlos Rodon, who has had five consecutive quality starts. His ERA over that span is an impressive 1.56.

Pitching for the Tribe is rookie Shane Bieber, making his eleventh start of the season. Bieber has done a decent job as the Indians’ fifth starter, compiling a record of 6-2 with an ERA of 4.58. He’s struck out 58 batters in 57 innings of work.
