After getting back on the winning side with a 4-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles yesterday afternoon, the Cleveland Indians are back at it this afternoon for the third game of a four-game set at Camden Yards. Yesterday’s win gave the Tribe a half-game lead over the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central Division, and a win today would at least keep them on top, if not extend their division lead.

The Indians have every reason to be confident today as Corey Kluber takes the mound. While Kluber has typically started the season slowly over the course of his career, that hasn’t been the case this year. The reigning Cy Young award winner is currently 2-1 with a 1.52 ERA and 0.74 WHIP. Opponents are batting just .155 against Kluber on the season, and he has 33 strikeouts against just six walks. In short, the best pitcher in the American League is showing why he is just that.

The Orioles will counter with veteran right-hander Andrew Cashner. Cashner has had a solid start to the season, sporting a 3.00 ERA and 1.25 WHIP despite his 1-2 record. Still, Cashner has been somewhat prone to giving up the long ball, allowing five home runs already this season, so the Indians have to make him pay when he makes a mistake.
