A Pennant and a new lineup
Notice the Indians new center fielder is Jason Kipnis. This is his first outfield assignment in the major leagues. He last played in the outfield for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in 2009, 18 times in left and seven times in Center. He made no outfield errors there and had no outfield assists.
The Indians might be sacrificing a little defense by moving Giovanny Urshela to second base; he’s far better at third base. Yandy Diaz, howvever, seems to be much improved since his days at third for the Akron RubberDucks.
