Can the Indians make it 13 in a row against the White Sox tonight? Danny Salazar will return from the disabled list to take the mound for the Tribe as they attempt to extend their winning streak. I expect Salazar to be on a fairly strict pitch count tonight, and may only be in the game for a few innings (even if things go well). Tyler Naquin and Shawn Armstrong were also called up to the major league club today as well.
Tonight’s starter for the White Sox, David Holmberg, was originally drafted by Chicago in 2009. After a series of trades, he eventually made his way back to the South Side last season. Despite his ERA of of 3.55, Holmberg has an FIP of 5.86; he’s likely due for a bit of a regression. The 5.86 figure is definitely more in line with his career numbers.
