After last night’s rainout, the Indians and Twins are set to play a double header today.
———-
The Indians are rolling again, having rattled off six straight wins, and send Cookie Carrasco to the mound tonight to take on the second place Twins.
It’s a baseball miracle that the Twins are in second place considering their -57 run differential and it would be great to keep this win streak going and finally put an end Minnesota’s hopes.
For the Twins, Kyle Gibson—a failed former hyped-up prospect—and his 6.02 ERA takes the mound. The Tribe is 2-1 against Gibson this season, and even in the one loss, Gibson failed to get out of the fifth inning. At least on paper, this is about as lopsided a pitching matchup as we’ll see this season.
