The Indians host perennial villians the New York Yankees tonight in the second of a four-game series. Cleveland took the first one led by an 11-strikeout complete game by Corey Kluber. Trevor Bauer (9-8, 5.25 ERA 117 K) makes the start tonight for Cleveland, going up against Jaime Garcia (5-7, 4.29 ERA, 92K), who is making his Yankee debut. Garcia spent eight seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals but is in his third uniform this season, having been traded first to Atlanta and then to Minnesota (where he made one start) before landing with the Yankees. In his last start, Bauer allowed only one run in eight innings and notched six strikeouts in a win against the Angels on July 27.
Painful as it is to type Clint Frazier’s name under the Yankees, here are tonight’s starting lineups.
