After struggling out of the gate after the All-Star break, the Cleveland Indians are red-hot. Winners of six games in a row and seven of their last ten, today they look for their second straight series sweep (sandwiched around a victory over the Cincinnati Reds in a makeup game) with a victory today against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Indians will send Trevor Bauer to the mound as they look for the sweep. The enigmatic Bauer has struggled this season, posting a 5.58 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. Opponents are hitting .275 against him for the season, and typically tee off against Bauer after his first time through the lineup. Bauer has tremendous stuff, but often seems to overthink things and is seemingly in his own head far too often.

The Angels will counter by sending right-hander JC Ramirez to the mound. Ramirez is the definition of average, as he currently sports a 9-8 record with a 4.38 ERA. He isn’t an innings eater, and hasn’t gone more than six innings in any of his last seven starts. While he has been better than Bauer this season, he is also facing an Indians lineup that has been hitting extremely well lately.

Be sure to tune in at 12:10 to see if the Indians can win their seventh straight and finish off the seep of the Angels, and be sure to share your thoughts here at It’s Pronounced Lajaway!
