The Indians are in Detroit, and they’re actually going to play some baseball, which is exciting, given the nothing burger that happened Friday night thanks to Mother Nature.
The Tribe and the Tigers will play two games today in Motown. Josh Tomlin (Sarcastic “yay”) will start the afternoon game opposite Anibal Sanchez (okay, that’s actually a good matchup for Tomlin) and Carlos “Cookie” Carrasco (My BOY!) will start the nightcap opposite Jordan Zimmerman. The bench will be emptied, the players will be tired, and Tomlin will certainly give up some home runs [This game thread is late, so I already know he gives up back to back solo shots!] and the bullpen will probably be exhausted in game 1.
But it’s a double header, which is always exciting.
Detroit has not been a good team this year, but they’re still dangerous because they still have Miguel Cabrera. I don’t care what their record is, this team always scares me. Hopefully, the Indians can lay the hammer down on them in this doubleheader.
