SAY WHO? — The Indians acquired Jarrett Grube from the Blue Jays Sunday and assigned him to AAA Columbus. He’s 35 years old and had a 6.14 ERA at AAA Buffalo in 11 starts. With all the recent moves (see below), the Indians seemed to kneed some live bodies. He has pitched in only one MLB game, three years ago for the Angels.

UP AND DOWN — Giovanny Urshela and Mike Clevinger were sent back to the Columbus Clippers after only one game and Shawn Armstrong was activated. The Indians were allowed to have a 26th player on the roster for Saturday’s doubleheader games, so Sunday they had to reduce by one. Ryan Merritt and Kyle Crockett were optioned back to Columbus Saturday.

PREMATURE ANTICIPATION — After beating Minnesota three times, the Indians have a one game lead over Minnesota in the American League Central Division. They have the fourth-best record in the American League, so they also are in the Wild Card mix.

NEXT UP — Corey Kluber (5-4, 4.15) vs. Dylan Bundy (7-5, 3.29) at 7:05 p.m. Monday in Baltimore.

BAUER BASHERS — Mauer is 12-for-34 with a homer against Bauer. Rosario 8-for-22; Vargas 8-16.
SOFT SPOTS — Sano 2-for-20; Buston 1-for-6.

PLAYING GIBSON — Lindor 9-FOR-13, Kipnis 8-FOR 15.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT — Santana 5-for-25 (but 3 homers).
