The Indians and Detroit Tigers will face off at Comerica Park this evening in the second of a four-game series. On Monday, the Tigers squeaked by the Indians with a narrow 7-1 victory.

That’s a joke, son.

Each team will send their ace to the mound this evening: Justin Verlander for the Tigers, and Corey Kluber for the Tribe. Verlander had his best outing of the season against the Mariners last week, going seven innings and giving up only one run, and that unearned. His worst outing in 2017 came in Progressive Field against the Indians, when he gave up nine runs, all earned, over four innings, as the Indians won 13-6.

Ironically, his opponent in that game was Kluber, who had the worst outing of his 2017 season that day, giving up six earned runs over 6 1/3 innings. But he got the win, because somebody had to. I suspect tonight we will get a more low-scoring game.
