After being rained out yesterday, the Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins look to complete their series today at 1:10 at Target Field. It’s also a chance for the Indians to move above .500 for the first time since they were swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second series of the season.
The Tribe comes into today’s game winners of two straight as Trevor Bauer takes the mound for his third start of the season. It’s been a rough start for Bauer, who sports an 8.44 ERA and failed to make it through the sixth inning in either of his starts.
The Twins are currently tied in the standings with the Indians as both squads sport identical 7-7 records, but Minnesota enters the game losers of three straight. They’ll send right-hander Ervin Santana to the hill for his fourth start of the season. Santana is off to a torrid start as he currently sports a 0.41 ERA over 22 innings. He’s struck out fifteen batters compared to just five walks, and has pitched at least six innings in all three starts, including a complete game win on April 15th. Needless to say, the Indians will have their work cut out for them.
