Even though it won’t heal the wounds of the ’97 World Series, the Tribe will try to clinch the series and maintain their 4.5 game lead on Detroit tonight against an annoyed Marlins team. It won’t be easy, either. The Indians will send Trevor Bauer to the bump, while the Fish will counter with their ace, Jose Fernandez. There is some serious “pitching porn” potential here, folks. The problem, though, is me. So it won’t matter how well the boys do tonight, because any open thread or recap by me usually ends in agony. So, if things go sideways as they typically do when it’s my “turn in the rotation,” you know who to blame.
One cool thing, though? Coco Crisp’s return to the Indians’ starting nine. And with that, lineups are as follows:
