You can tell baseball is a kinder, gentler sport from a kinder, gentler era just by examining team names. Other major sports include names like Raiders, Raptors, Sharks. But baseball? It has Blue Jays, Cardinals and the Tribe’s opponent again today, the Orioles. The game will pit two division leaders against each other as Baltimore regained a half-game lead over the Red Sox in the AL East.

The Indians will attempt to ruffle a lot more feathers than they did on Friday, opening the series with a 5-1 loss. On Saturday, the Tribe will have Josh Tomlin on the hill looking to improve his impressive 10-2 record and 3.34 ERA. We’ll see Tomlin testing his typically pinpoint control against the homer-happy Orioles, who lead the Majors in team dingers with 144.

Baltimore will start righty Kevin Gausman, who has only 1 win to his credit against 7 losses and a less-than-ideal 4.05 ERA. But Gausman has some gas, man. The dude is a strikeout pitcher with 19Ks in his last 17.2 innings during July.

Lonnie Chisenhall is back in the line-up today after being scratched on Friday due to an illness. Tyler Naquin will see if he can continue his tear at the plate and remain a serious contender for AL Rookie of the Year. On Friday, Naquin went 2 for 4 with a double to boost his batting average to .328 and hike his OPS to a stunning 1.028.

Here are the rest of today’s line-ups for the Wahoos and the Birds:
