The Indians head into Detroit for a three-game series against the Tigers. Last season, that prospect would have been worrisome, as the Tribe had a .389 record against the Tigers. This season, it’s a different, much more pristine story. If I type it, I’ll jinx it, but it’s the same as their record over the past six games. As a fun side note, the Indians perfect record at home for the month of June (11-0) is the first undefeated month at home in Cleveland franchise history (minimum of 10 games).
Danny Salazar (8-3, 2.23) will be making the start for the Indians against RHP Jordan Zimmerman ((9-3, 3.24). Salazar is currently the American League leader in strikeouts per-9.0IP (10.71), strikeout percentage (29.5%), and bWAR (3.6). He is second in the AL in ERA (2.23), ERA+ (204), and average against (.182).
