The Indians complete their series with the Boston Red Sox today, as Danny Salazar takes the mound against Rick Porcello. So far this season, Porcello has been pretty consistent. There were two outings where he shut out the opposition, but otherwise he always allows either three or four earned runs…no more, no less. Salazar will have to shut down a red hot Red Sox lineup, as the Indians hope their offense returns after they were quieted on Saturday.
The Indians also made a roster move this morning, sending LHP Kyle Crockett to Columbus and calling up RHP Austin Adams. While this leaves them without a lefty in the pen, Crockett had trouble getting outs during his brief appearances. Adams has been solid at Columbus (1.10 ERA, batters are hitting .190 off of him) so it could be a solid move to shore up the pen a bit.
