This inconsistency is starting to eat at me. The Indians look great one game, but the next look like last night. And if you missed last nights game, our ace got smacked and we had three hits. The Indians clearly have the talent, they just need a winning streak. Yes, the Indians staff is banged up and struggling a little bit, but it is still solid enough to where we should be able to rattle off multiple wins in a row. Hopefully the Indians can avoid slipping back to .500 tonight with a win in Houston.
Trevor Bauer (2-0, 5.14) takes the hill in Houston for the Indians against Chris Devenski (0-1, 1.46) who is making his third career start. Bauer looked great his last time in Houston and hopes to have that same stuff tonight. If he attacks the Astros with his fastball, gets ahead in the count, and focuses on only a few of his many pitches he should keep Houston in check.
The Tribe 9 looks a little different than expected with Rajai Davis in the leadoff spot tonight, and Carlos Santana moving down to the five hole. Also, Michael Brantley gets a day off as he is still rounding into form. It is good to see Jose Ramirez get more playing time as he has been one of the best players for the Indians this year.
