WHAT DO WE WANT? Runs!

WHEN DO WE WANT THEM? When Corey Kluber is pitching!

Today, the Indians will square off against the NY Mets in the rubber match of this three game series. The Indians will send their venerable ace (and emotionless slayer of opposing hitters) to the mound looking for his first win of the season, and the Mets will counter with 24 year old Steven Matz.

Something has to give today – as Matz is coming off a disastrous first start of the season where he only lasted 1.2 innings, and yet the Indians seem to forget how to generate runs when Kluber is on the mound.

After a horrible meteorological start to the season, the weather for this series has been beautiful, and today should be no exception. First pitch is at 1:05, where temps should be in the low 70s and the weather clear and sunny. If you aren’t going to the Cavs game later this afternoon, this might be a perfect day to catch the Indians game in person – I know I’m taking advantage of the opportunity.
