Welcome to what is probably the last meaningful game of the season. Cody Anderson (6-3, 3.31) faces the Twins Kyle Gibson (10-11, 3.96). For those of you who haven’t been paying attention for whatever reason (lethargy, apathy, Cavs media day, catching up on sleep after the super moon lunar eclipse, etc.), the Indians are now 5.0 games behind the Houston Astros for the second wild card spot. The combination of one Houston win and one Cleveland loss from this point forward would snap the last little thread of playoff hope to which we’ve been clinging.
UPDATE: This game has officially been postponed until Wednesday. It will be played at 4:10 ET as part of a traditional doubleheader.
