The Indians have been in a bit of a repetitive cycle lately. It seems for the last week, the team pulls itself back to .500 and then drops a game under again, unable to break through to a winning record. Today, they give it another try when they face John Danks and the White Sox at 1:10 at Progressive Field.

Danks sports a 7-12 record and 4.56 ERA, continuing a career as a fairly mediocre starter. The Indians counter with Josh Tomlin, who has been absolutely outstanding since returning to the rotation after a two-year absence. Tomlin is currently 5-2 with a 2.70 ERA and a microscopic WHIP of 0.68. While he has continued his tendency to give up the home runs, Tomlin has not allowed many other men on base, limiting the damage of the long ball.
