The Indians have already won the season series with the Yankees, even if they lose this afternoon’s contest.  However, they do have a chance to win the series in the Bronx and take their record against the Yankees to 5-2 for 2015.  Even though the Indians are out of contention, it’s been nice beating a team that usually knocks the Indians around.

Today’s pitching matchup is a battle of two pitchers that have struggled at times this year – Trevor Bauer and CC Sabathia.  I wrote about Bauer the other day; he’s had a number of luck issues and command issues and will be pitching in homer-friendly Yankee Stadium.  For a pitcher that’s had trouble keeping the ball in the park, this could be an ugly day for Bauer.

Sabathia has dealt with health issues the past couple of seasons and his velocity has diminished significantly since he was in his prime.  He did well against the Indians the last time he saw him, but was knocked around a bit by the Twins in his last outing.

I’m almost expecting a 12-10 final score (or something similar) so it’s probably going to be 2-1 or 1-0 or something!
