The Tribe looks to start their post-All Star break stretch with a series win as they face the Reds in the rubber game today.

Yesterday’s game showed the offensive spark we hope to see a LOT more of in the final months of the season. The Indians finally backed Corey Kluber with generous run support. Much of it was due to Michael Brantley and Yan Gomes each hitting 3-run dingers. Carlos Santana had another good day at the plate with 2 doubles, 1 RBI and 2 walks.

The Reds send Johnny Cueto (6-6, 2.73 ERA, 113 SO) to the mound. Cueto struggled in his last outing, coughing up 5 runs in 5 innings — yet his season ERA still lingers well under 3.00. The Tribe counters with Carlos Carrasco (10-7, 4.07 ERA, 122 SO), who yielded 2 runs in 7 innings during his last start against Oakland.
