In Friday night’s win against the Reds, the Indians did two things they haven’t done all season. They won their fourth game in a row, and they also had their first win in a series opener at home. They had a stretch of 30 straight games without recording consecutive victories from April 10-May 14. Goodness but the season has gotten off to a lousy start.

Today’s game (note the 4:10 start) is the second of four against the Reds. Corey Kluber (1-5, 3.79) makes the start for the Indians against right-hander Anthony DeSclafani (2-4, 3.80). In his last two starts, Kluber has a 0.53 ERA (17.0IP/1ER) with 30 strikeouts and one lonely walk. We’re hoping to see more of that action today. I’d also like to see the Indians do something they haven’t done since May 30-June 4, 2014, and that’s win five games in a row (that one last year was a six-game winning streak. We’ll take it.)
