Tonight comes the last game in the three-game series between the Indians and the Royals, as Cleveland hopes to take advantage of one last chance to salvage a series that has only pushed them further into the AL Central basement.
The 14-6 Royals send Yordano Ventura to the mound, the young pitcher who has become known more for fighting than for pitching; his last three starts have ended in brawls. The Royals will be hoping the trend doesn’t continue tonight.
Ventura will face off against Danny Salazar, and if there was ever a night when the Indians need Salazar to really harness his potential, it’s tonight, as the Tribe hopes to avoid a series sweep, and start the long climb up the standings from their current record of 6-13.
Here are tonight’s lineups:
Batting Average Leader (Of Qualifying Players): Carlos Santana batting .242
This is real.
Also our Bullpen.
How did I ever have faith in this team!
McAllister looks competent tonight.
