Danny Salazar’s rough spring effectively ended yesterday versus the Reds.

The Tribe’s flamethrower was all but guaranteed a spot in the rotation in February, but carrying an ERA north of 8 tends to change things fairly quickly.

It also puts things in a bind for the Indians, who are now forced to play the “Lesser of Two Evils” game with both Zach McAllister and Josh Tomlin. Neither guy inspires much confidence, so it would behoove Salazar to work out the kinks now and make himself a viable candidate for the rotation, as soon as muthalovin’ possible.

This is not what the Indians had in mind. Nor, Sports Illustrated, who christened the Tribe as one of their regionally-based “It” teams.

So there will no doubt be some rotation jiggering throughout the April, making use of the damage that a certain Cowboy may wreak.
