Have you had a chance to see the renovated League Park at the corner of E. 66th and Lexington? If not, why don’t you come see it this Saturday? (Even if you’ve been there already, you should still come this Saturday). Our SABR chapter’s annual winter meeting is Saturday, February 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s a $5 entry fee (which includes candy and pop) and the proceeds will go to the Baseball Heritage Museum, located in the ticket office at League Park. You’ll get to look around the museum, and also see numerous presentations that cover topics ranging from baseball history to statistical analysis. You don’t have to stay for the entire day (although you should) and we’ll take a lunch break at noon. There’s ample free parking on the street around the park, and we’ll be holding the meeting in the ticket office building.
Even though it’s miserable outside, pitchers and catchers will soon be reporting and spring training is just around the corner. You can help pass the time by hanging out at the beautiful League Park with other baseball fans this Saturday.
