Just as The Smiths said some girls are bigger than others, some games are bigger than others. Tonight marks the last time the Indians will play the Tigers at home this season. Cleveland is 4.0 games behind Detroit in the AL Central and 5.5 games behind 1st place Kansas City. Cleveland is also 4.0 games behind Detroit for the second wild card spot. So is New York. Seattle is .5 game behind Detroit. They have tonight and three games in Detroit next week to make some serious gains. The Indians haven’t lost a series of at least 3 since July 29-31 against Seattle. Tonight would not be a good night to end that streak.

Starting pitcher is Trevor Bauer (5-7, 3.99) vs. Max Scherzer (15-5, 3.26). Let’s go, guys.

Bauer should be banned from pitching in the first innings.

you are right. We need to do this backwards. Allen starts. Shaw comes in for the second. Atchison and scrabble do the third and then bring in Bauer for the rest of the game. What do we have to lose?
