The Indians open a three-game series against the Houston Astros tonight at Progressive Field. The Tribe is 64-62. The Astros may have a lousy record at 54-74, but they’re 4th in the majors in home runs. Still, I’d like to think that we can win some games this weekend. It would be nice to get more than 3 games over .500. The Indians haven’t more than 3 games over .500 since the end of the 2013 season. Actually, Cleveland’s record has been no more than 2 games over, nor fewer than 2 games under .500 for 32 of the last 33 days. Here’s hoping Carlos Carrasco (5-4, 3.27) can keep the strong starts he’s had since returning to the rotation. (Oh, I fear that I have already jinxed him.) He faces right-hander Brad Peacock (3-8, 5.47).
