So, here we are again.

It’s a familiar script by now: the Indians went on the road and forgot to pack anything except their atrocious defense and starting pitching.

Trevor Bauer started this game, though he did not last long. He got Brett Gardner swinging to lead off the bottom of the first inning (the Indians had a 1-0 lead at this point, mind you), but then it was all downhill from there. Derek Jeter then singled (on what should have been — and still should be — an error), and a lot of bad things happened.

I won’t recap all the bad things that happened in this game. They were walks (at one point New York had 9 runs on 7 hits, to give you an idea of how awful the Indians were in this game), errors, and bad pitching. It was all stuff you’ve seen before. Tonight, however, it all happened in one game. One ugly, no good, boring, frustrating, stupid, cringe-worthy game.

To be totally honest, I won’t blame you if you started focusing on the Cavs. They’re going to be really good. This Indians team… not so much.

To make matters worse, this game lasted nearly four hours (as all Yankees games seem to do), so it was a certain kind of slow, methodical torture. That is due to the fact that the Indians needed to go through 7 pitchers to get through the evening, and the fact that those pitchers issued 7 walks.

so how many games below 500 will they finish up with? I thought 5, but I am re-evaluating my thinking. I’m going lower. 6 weeks left and I’m depressed.
