Danny Salazar takes the mound against the Rangers in his third start since returning from Columbus. He hasn’t exactly been dominant in the previous two starts, but he’s been far more efficient—something which I wrote about earlier this week.

The Rangers are a shell of the team that won over 90 games in four straight seasons, but their lineup still features Choo, Rios and Beltre, and should give Salazar a decent test.

Journeyman Jerome Williams takes the mound for Texas. It will be his second start with the Rangers after he was signed in mid-July, following his release from the Astros.
