The Indians have lost four in a row–the 4th time this season they’ve lost at least four games in a row. The longest losing streak of the season was six games. Each time, they seem to come back with a big winning streak (as Ryan noted a couple of days ago). This afternoon in Boston, lefty TJ House (0-1, 5.24) takes the mound for the Tribe against right-hander Jake Peavy (1-4, 4.76). The last time TJ House started was Monday, when he pitched only 3.1 innings and allowed 6 runs (5 earned). Of course, that was the game in which the Indians scored 17 runs, Lonnie Chisenhall went 5-5 with 3 homers and 9 RBI, and all was well with the world. It seems like a million years ago, doesn’t it?

Indians’ starting lineup:
Bourn, CF
Cabrera, SS
Brantley, LF
Kipnis, 2B
Chisenhall, 3B
Swisher, DH
Murphy, RF
Santana, 1B
Gomes, C

Red Sox’s starting lineup:
Holt, RF
Bogaerts, 3B
Pedroia, 2B
Ortiz, DH
Napoli, 1B
Gomes, LF
Pierzynski, C
Herrera, SS
Bradley, CF

My niece got married today in Vt. I couldn’t go to the wedding but my son did. He will be the lone tribe fan among no less that 25 die hard, loud, obnoxious sox fans. What’s worse? they are related. Come on tribe, for his sake, get the win!

Your poor, poor son. The only fan base more annoying than Red Sox fans might be Steelers fans.

      • Kevin says:

At least the Steelers never pissed and moaned about not winning a championship, despite semi consistent success for years. The Boston Red Sox won 3 championships in 10 years and still try to play themselves as victims. It’s infuriating.
