Well, Corey Kluber got the ball rolling for the homestand with tremendous, decisive, holy-crap-he’s-a-strikeout-machine win over the Rockies last night. This afternoon Trevor Bauer (1-2, 3.86 ERA) takes the mound for the Indians against lefty Franklin Morales (3-4, 5.65). What do the Indians need in order to win today? Bauer needs to keep it together, the offense needs to step up a bit, and yeah, the errors need to stop. Interesting chart from the Indians gameday notes:

I think it’s safe to say that Bauer grew up a little during that tough 3rd inning. Nice progress kid.
Of course, the only guy on that errorless list (that is playing) that had an impressive streak (Murphy), had one. Way to jinx him.
No jinx–I didn’t mention Murphy by name. Apparently it’s spreading…
our pitching is really coming into its own…
CHISENHALLLLLLLLLLLLL….man he is on fire!

Wow, the wheels just fell off quickly…
Wow, the wheels went back on quickly…
Nice game by Bauer. He deserved better than a no decision. Chiz two more hits against a lefty. Still over .500. And another RISP hit. That’s 3 in the series.
