I’ve started speaking to Cory Kluber the same way Princess Leia spoke to Obi Wan Kenobi. Obi Wan Kluber (5-3, 3.10 ERA) will try snap the Tribe’s four-game losing streak as the Indians begin a three-game interleague series at home against the Colorado Rockies. Juan Nicasio (5-2, 3.61 ERA) starts for the Rockies. Lifetime, the Indians are 8-10 against the Rockies (but 6-3 at home, so they’ve got that going for them).

Indians’ lineup:
Cabrera, SS
Brantley, LF
Kipnis, 2B
Chisenhall, 3B
Giambi, DH
Gomes, C
Murphy, RF
Aguilar, 1B

Rockies’ lineup:
Blackmon, CF
Dickerson, DH
Tulowitzki, SS
Gonzalez, LF
Cuddyer, RF
Morneau, 1B
Rosario, C
Culberson, 3B
LeMahieu, 2B

I was just about to comment that someone on here should do a piece on what has changed in Kluber’s game this year. Him and Brantley have easily been the happiest parts of the season for me thus far, to the point where I am genuinely looking forward to Kluber’s starts every week.

If he has really made some sort of adjustment to take him to another level of pitching, it does wonders for our staff of the foreseeable future.
