Danny Salazar looks for his second win of the season tonight in the third of the 4-game series. He notched his first win of the year in last week’s 12-5 slugfest against the White Sox, in which he gave up 3 earned runs, walked 3 and struck out 6. The Indians definitely provided him with the necessary offensive back-up. Can they do it again tonight? Can Salazar put in another quality start, as he did on April 27th against the Giants, without the Indians losing on a 9th inning home run? Kvetch or cheer below.

Wish Salazar had some movement with his 2 seamer. His change up is devastating though!

    Salazar striking ’em out again

  • Anthony says:

Brantley is a five tool player!!!!

  • Thomas says:

Pitch count staying down for Salazar, hopefully that will help him some the second time through the order.

i am SO tired of 2 out mistakes and errors leading to runs.

that sequence was just classic 2014 indians.

  • SD Tribe Fan says:

Yes! The Tribe did not waste RISP!

  • LaPorta's Mojo says:

Boy Santana and ACab are just automatic outs right now.
Their at bats are tough to watch

    • Thomas says:

That’s the truth…I know we are being patient with Santana…but his avg. is starting to get ridiculous.

Hey, it looks like they’re, you know, playing a baseball game.

  • Anthony says:

It’d be sweet if Yan didn’t throw EVERY ball into CF!!!!

  • Thomas says:

Nice to see some defensive effort tonight. Aviles def. saved a run there.

  • Susan Petrone says:

Nights like this reaffirm my appreciation of Michael Brantley. He hit with RISP to give us two runs. Then he comes up, gets on base, and then gives a textbook lesson on how to break up a double play. Can we just clone him?

Santana is flashing some serious leather tonight.

Holy cow, we almost had our own Steve Bartman. Good catch. Who was that idiot? Come on, Tribe! Walk-off time!

  • SD Tribe Fan says:

The Twinkies’ announcers (which, if you don’t know, includes Bert Blyleven) are dismissive of our bottom third. They don’t realize those our our most consistent!

  • Gvl Steve says:

Great defense tonight. Other than the Gomes throw, this was probably our best defensive game of the year.

I listen to the games on the radio, and just saw the highlights.

My favorite part – after Aviles hit the game-winning single, one guy was waiting by home plate for Cabrera to score. The second the run was official, he sprinted down the first base line, and was the first guy to hug Aviles.

That guy was Nyjer Morgan. A guy who is “barely” on this team, and may get sent back down AGAIN if Bourn gets healthy. And he’s the most excited guy on the team when the Indians win. That’s pretty good “clubhouse presence” for a part-time guy. He also made a great catch in center field, and is hitting almost .300 on the year.

    • mondo dentro says:

Given the lack if intensity on the team, I don’t see how they can afford to send him back down. Hate to say it, but I’m kinda hoping for an extended rehab for Bourn.

    • shaun says:

of course he’s excited. too bad he swings left otherwise he would be a good option for the 2014 indians platoon squad

  • SD Tribe Fan says:

    Carrasco as the closer. Interesting.
