Tonight, Zach McAllister and the Indians try to bounce back against the Twins and Samuel Deduno. In Deduno’s last start against Kansas City on August 8, he allowed 4 ER and 12 hits in 5.2 innings pitched. The Tribe performed well against him earlier this year, when they also scored 4 ER off of him over the course of 6 innings. Over the course of his career, Deduno has had some success against the Indians, but still owns a 4.13 ERA against the team.
McAllister will try to recover from his dreadful start against the Detroit Tigers last Thursday, when he failed to make it out of the third inning. He allowed 5 ER and walked 4 as the Indians eventually lost 10-3. Ryan Raburn was forced to make his Indians pitching debut later in the game.

Asdrubal in the cleanup spot again?Sure, why not? 🙁
How about Gomes in the cleanup spot? He is the only one hitting. I’d put him there until the others get off life support.
I was saying that they need to start mixing and matching…going with the hot hand. Obviously Asdrubal isn’t working and he’s extremely frustrated right now.
tito seems to believe in letting him play through it, but how much longer can it go on? At least drop him to 7 or 8.
I completely agree. I don’t fault Francona for trying, but sticking with it when it doesn’t seem to be working just seems nuts.
That was a good job by McAllister to get out of the third unscathed.
Thank goodness for the WP or Asdrubal would have hit into a double play. He just a big mess right now.
hey, this is very theraputic. I may not bang my head on the table tonight. It’s early, but you never know…
I always say that prefer to write about terrible games, because it gives me an outlet to vent about it.
Your hand must be tired if that is the case!
Gomes is the man! Say hello to our new starting catcher.
Raburn to the rescue! Why did Santana just stand there when he got hit? Need some NBA players to teach hime how to flop!
Bourne! What are you doing? he took his eye off the ball to sneek a peek at the runner. THUD as my head hits the table.
Target field looks like a nice park, but I have trouble picking up the foul balls with that tan wall as a background. Probably just eye damage from watching the tribe this year.
HA! Because of how it’s designed, the cameras are positioned slightly different than most parks. I’m sure that’s not helping matters!
wow, that 6th inning could have been a lot worse. Way to go Zach.
I noticed that the outfield camera was a littleoff the norm. seems to be higher up and more directly behind the hitter. I like it.
Cabrera got on base! good for him. He probably has to introduce himself to the first baseman.
Michael Bourne has caught the same hitting virus that Santana and Cabrera have.
and Swisher
oh boy, which Perez will we have tonight?
I didn’t even know this was here. Oops.
Well, that was enjoyable.
last guy in buys!
not bad. Not great, but not bad. A win is a win. McAllister looked good. Bullpen looked good. Perez looked good, but out lineup has more holes than a donut factory.
and I think our bullpen pitches better when they’re tired.
Perez stinks
