As if Chris Perez’ meltdown and subsequent childish actions weren’t enough yesterday, the breaking news today might be even worse.

Corey Kluber, who pitched an absolute gem last night, is headed to the 15-day disabled list with a finger issue on his throwing hand. Matt Langwell has been recalled from Columbus.

What makes this injury so critical to the Indians is that Zach McAllister missed six weeks with a similar injury. And with the season now running short on games, last night’s appearance could potentially be the final game we see from Kluber until spring training.

Langwell will likely be optioned after the game for tomorrow’s starter, Danny Salazar. Salazar, presumably, will slot into Kluber’s spot in the rotation.

Seriously, ANOTHER finger injury for an Indians pitcher? Is it me or are we the only team that has pitchers who go on the DL for finger injuries?

Watching the Indians play the Tigers is like watching those annual 28-point Browns losses to Baltimore and Pittsburgh where six guys get carried off on a stretcher.
P.S. What childish behavior by Perez are you referring to? The media has been bashing Perez for two years now over everything he says and does. If I was him I wouldn’t talk to them either. That’s his right.

He left the building before the game was over.

Oh, that’s definitely not okay. I understand now. Thanks.
