As you know, yesterday’s Indians-Yankees game at Progressive Field was postponed on account of rain. Yesterday’s date was April 10.

In 2012, only one Indians game was postponed on account of rain. That game was against the White Sox, and it also was to be played at Progressive Field. The date of that washed-out game? April 10. The game was eventually made up as the first game of a day-night doubleheader on May 7. The Indians won that game, 8-6, and also took the nightcap, 3-2.

Of course, since the White Sox are a division rival, they made more than one scheduled visit to Cleveland in 2012, which made it relatively easy to schedule the make-up date. As this series is the only time the Yankees are due to play at Progressive Field in 2013, rescheduling yesterday’s rainout will be more problematic. There has been no word yet from the Indians about a make-up date.
